July 30 Teacher Round Town Hall Table Ep4: Attack of the policies, what are your marching orders?

By July 30 you probably have your instructions as to how you will re-open online or in person.  This meeting will focus on your marching orders, how realistic it is and how each state is handling the safety of teachers and staff.

We will also continue our conversation on fostering distance relationships using social and emotional development.

Come, share your story and be inspired by other teachers as we all work through this “new normal” together.

Blast from the Past!  Nai speaking in 2014 about the future of education

Back in 2014 I gave a TechTalk, a local version of TedTalks where teachers speak about the latest and greatest.  I was invited by the college to speak about the future of education in an 18 minute presentation about future technology.  I stumbled across this video when I was searching the web!  Good times, and watching it now, it’s quite prophetic.  Enjoy this inspirational talk by ME!

Episode 3 Personality Surveys and Video Games

The third round table meeting was incredible.  At 59 minutes a teacher brought up that she uses Myers Briggs to help with understanding and relating to her students.  I brought up a really awesome survey that is the Myers Briggs of Video Gamers and a survey that measures gamer motivations.  With these 2 tools, based on the games they love to play, will give you a glimpse on what motivates them, which can be translated to pedagogy.  Watch the discussion and check these tools out!
The link will automatically start you at 59 minutes.
